ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Business Development Senior Specialist effectively executes new opportunities for growth within a target market for both Software and Cloud environments cross- industry and customer segment. Understand our competitive advantage and establish the key reasons for customers and prospects to leverage cloud deployment models and other innovative technologies to achieve strategic business objectives. Identify, foster and syndicate opportunities originating in a target market to the rest of SAP. Execute on investment opportunities. Ensure that business management processes are in place and that business development best practices are followed.
* Area 1: Identify and advocate new growth levers and value delivery opportunities. Develop customized business development offerings. Execute on the evaluation, negotiation and execution of new opportunities and business models. Execute on new initiatives that drive growth and new sources of demand.
* Area 2: Responsible for the day-to-day execution of the approved growth plan, coordinating the transformation program work streams including: solution and strategic industry growth plans, field Services & ecosystem development plans, top accounts program, product localization, HR development among others.
* Area 3: Support the development of business cases for new investment decisions through due diligence evaluations and other research activities. Responsible for providing the applicable data to operations teams to be consolidated into the monthly or quarterly reporting repositories/ dashboards.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, and corporate development.
  • Experience in Cloud in the B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication and advance negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a matrix environment
  • Fluency in English, any other language an asset.
  • Fluency in the language of local markets desirable.
  • Knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required from an accredited university.
  • MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred.

    Pros: Buen clima laboral, posibilidad de hacer home office, flexibilidad. Buenas instalaciones y mantenimiento de las mismas. Dan laptops a los empleados.

    Contras: Si te toca tener a un jefe afuera es un desastre, no solo no te evaluan como corresponde porque las charlas de desempeño son nulas sino q al no saber que es la inflación los aumentos son paupérrimos. Muy bajos aumentoa salariales dados 1 vez al año x la cia.

    Pros: Muchas comodidades: servicio de combis, snacks libres, home office. Posibilidades de ingreso para personas sin título universitario en las posiciones más bajas, lo que brinda la oportunidad de "formarse" en ciertas áreas. En líneas generales hay bastante buen ambiente.

    Contras: Muchos managers incompetentes, acomodos entre los managers en la referencia de nuevos empleados (porque se pagan los referidos, hacen entrar a cualquier inútil), las posibilidades de crecimiento suelen ser nulas para la mayoría y los planes de carrera son para muy pocos, no son muy colaborativos con la rotación entre áreas. Los sueldos son muy bajos y dentro de los equipos hay personas realizando las mismas tareas, con la misma formación y performance y sueldos muy dispares. Como dije anteriormente, sirve para arrancar una carrera e irte a otro lugar dónde paguen mejor y te den más posibilidades de crecimiento profesional, o para desarrollar la paciencia y aprender a rogar para llegar a algo.

    Consejos para los directivos: Si realmente quieren calidad de trabajo, empiecen a pagar sueldos decentes, contraten a gente capacitada para sus tareas y despidan a la gente que no sirve!!
